Gold prospecting day trips on the North fork of the American River in California. We provide a full day of fun on the river with training in sluicing and panning.
The all day prospecting and training trip requires you to be a reasonable hiker. We usually hike 20 to 30 minutes to a location where we are likely to find some amount of gold. The hike is relatively easy with some up and down hill areas. During the trip we will be panning and sluicing depending on the location.
I will train you in prospecting techniques, reading the river for gold locations and inform you about various areas you can prospecting. Or, if you have some experience just join me in a fun day on the river. Custom trips can be arranged.
